“For the Beauty of the Earth” – Recessional Hymn 08 June 2008 (Youth Appreciation Sunday) Church of the Redeemer, Episcopal Morristown, NJ, USA 1-For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies, For the children ev’rywhere with their sad or joyful cries, God of all, to you we raise this our hymn of grateful praise. 2-For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies, For each child whose life of worth may be missed by human eyes, God of all, to you we raise this our hymn of grateful praise. 3-For the hungry, homeless ones seeking life despite despair, For the nations buying guns while the children wait for care, God of all, this prayer we raise: Let us bring forth better days. 4-Thanks for gifts that children bring: love and trust and open hands. Help us give them songs to sing, meet their needs as love commands. God of all, this prayer we raise: Let us bring forth better days. Great !
I wish we had some tunes like this one in France… :-(

joenwayne  on June 17th, 2008

You mean like:
“Il est ne, le divin Enfant”, et
“Noel nouvelet, Noel chantons ici”?

Merci pour vos commentaires et remercie pour regarder.

Yes we have some like these, but so much more that are very bad…

As a church organist, I must say that you play exquisitely well, and I just love the stop registrations you used on the hymn. I like when other organists aren’t afraid to “pull out the stops,” and really build up the hymn and take it somewhere different in each stanza. Great job, I loved this video, and your playing as well! Bravo!

I’ve never seen a Processional Cross with tassels………

joenwayne  on May 8th, 2009

I wouldn’t exactly call them tassels. It’s draped fabric.

Well, julorg, you live right next door to Germany, which has very many great processional and religious hymns. Borrow a few of them.

ServusGrueziHallo  on January 22nd, 2010

Maybe you would like “Grosser Gott wir Loben Dich”.
